Rural Board

Firth Rural Fire Protection District, dba Firth Rural Fire District, was formed in 1957 and operates under Statutes 35-501 - 35-536 of the State of Nebraska. These Statues spell out the formation and organization of the District. Directors are elected to four year staggered terms by registered voters living within the District attending the regular Annual Meeting of the District. The Board then elects the President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.

 

The Board meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings alternate between the Fire stations in Firth and Panama. Odd numbered months are in Firth, even numbered months are in Panama. Meeting notices are posted at the Fire Stations, as well at the Post offices in both villages.
