Why Did You Become A Volunteer?
“My son left for college, and I suddenly found myself with a lot more free time. I knew I wanted to find a way to get more involved in our community but wasn't sure how. I saw a Facebook post from Firth Rural Fire and Rescue, asking for volunteers to become EMTs through a class they offered at the station. 5 months later, I had earned my EMT license, and I have loved being able to serve the members of our community. This department gives back to me just as much as I give to it. It's been a great experience.” - Heidi, Firefigher/EMT
